DEPOT REPAIRS & WARRANTY:
Depot repair services are non-refundable once authorized and performed. Depot repairs carry a thirty (30) day warranty beginning on the date the repair is completed and the customer is notified, or the date the item is returned from the repair centre, whichever occurs later.
Warranty periods are not based on pickup date or first use. Items returned from the repair depot are powered on and tested by us to confirm that the specific repair performed is functioning as intended prior to pickup. Customers must power on and test the repaired component within forty-eight (48) hours. Issues related to the repaired component will be addressed through warranty rework. Issues unrelated to the repair performed are not covered.
Where a computer is partially or intermittently functioning prior to depot repair, repair attempts may be unsuccessful despite reasonable efforts and the item may return in a reduced or non-functional state. By authorizing depot repair, the customer acknowledges and accepts this risk, having elected to proceed due to dissatisfaction with the computer’s existing condition or performance. Where a repair attempt is unsuccessful, no charge is applied by the repair centre for the repair attempt, and the customer acknowledges that accepting this risk is reasonable given the absence of a repair charge.
A repaired computer is returned in working condition appropriate to the repair performed and is not expected to perform as new. Warranty coverage applies only to the repaired part or repair work, not the overall system. If a repair is represented as successful but the computer remains non-functional on the day of return and testing, the repair may be treated as not completed and the repair centre may elect to rework the repair or issue a refund.
Repairs that initially function and later fail are addressed through warranty rework. If further repair is not viable, the repair centre may, at its sole discretion, offer a parts-only refund or settlement refund. No refund is guaranteed or implied. Settlement refunds are significantly less than rework or parts refunds and cancel all warranties once accepted. Labour, diagnostic fees, and shipping costs are non-refundable.
